Launching Event – 12.1.22

During this event, Naomi Govrin-Schwartz, managing director of the Challenge, presented the background and the schedule, Prof. Kimberly Schonnert-Raichel shared the uniqueness of the Challenge, as it is the first of its kind in the world (!) and the first time that research of this magnitude has been conducted on a national level

And of course, our esteemed partners – Nir Lampert, Chairman of the 8200 Alumni Association and CEO of Mer Industries Ltd., Mohana Fares, VP and Head of the Technology Education Administration, Ministry of Education, and Galit Gal, Director of Philanthropy at the Azrieli Israel Foundation, each described the Challenge from their point of view, the importance of cross-sectoral collaboration used to drive big changes and the need for new players in the world of education.

We were also privileged to hear from our very own Dr. Shlomi Katan, a board member of the Challenge and a former learning leader at XPrize. Shlomi spoke about the Challenge model, the motivation of industries and the need for social emotional learning for society as a whole.

The event was attended by more than 200 participants, a rare and diverse group of educators, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, academics and philanthropists.
